I have a lot of titles but to be honest, how I most want to be known is as a conflict mediator between humans and bodies – your own and everyone else’s, too. Because what I most want to do in everything I create and every space that I facilitate is advocate for bodies and teach you how to do the same. Because I absolutely love bodies. All I want is to work with bodies, talk about bodies, care for bodies, help other people care for their bodies, and occasionally (okay, frequently) weep about the power and kindness of ALL bodies.

Since 2016, I’ve been helping people connect with and communicate compassionately with their bodies through the practice of Personified Embodiment, my proprietary coaching methodology. Because I specialize in reframing the experience of embodiment through the language of loving relationship – something that can be especially complicated for those of us who have had traumatizing and painful relationships with our bodies. I’ve worked with hundreds of people, accumulating thousands of hours of practice, that I pour back into everything I write, do and create – including my hands-on bodywork, 1:1 facilitation, workshops, Substack, membership space, and online course.

I say this a lot, but that’s because it’s true: Your body is your best teacher. I’m just here to introduce the two of you – whether that’s for the very first time or after years of disconnection. And I’ve created SO many ways for us to get started together.

“Being raised conservative Christian really did a number on me, from the toxic brand of masculinity that dictated what I needed to be and left me never feeling enough to the repressive sexual ethics that held a cloud of shame over everything I did.

Working with Jamie changed everything for me. After living so long believing my body was “sinful flesh” I began to break these previous narratives about myself. I found myself not despising my body and my relationship to it, but healing from decades of repression. I learned to call my body friend. I can’t recommend working with Jamie enough. She is perfectly suited for this work because of her personal experience, the incredible amount of research and education she’s undergone, and because of her uncommon kindness which she had not only for me, but taught me to have for myself.”

Undertaking this work was an extremely profound and empowering experience for me. I now have a different perspective, tools, and language to interact with and listen to my body. I will never interact with her the same way. I learned to not only deeply listen to her, but remove any sort of judgement I have towards her and other bodies. This freed up so much of my energy and allowed me to expand in the most surprising ways.

This course gave me the tools and a new perspective to help nurture what I imagine will be a lifelong sustainable and healthy connection with my body that nothing else has ever come close to. It gave language to so much inner turmoil I didn't know existed in my body and other bodies as well as opened my eyes to the systems of oppression that caused it. I feel so much more confident in myself and the messages I receive from my body in order to make healthy decisions for my future. Thank you Jamie for doing all the years of work you had to do to be able to create this. I will never forget this experience.
