The Refuge Retreat is a homecoming.
To your body. To the land. To each other.
To a way of being, together.
Born from a shared truth we see again and again in our work as health and body care practitioners:
You can know everything about health, trauma, nutrition, and nervous system regulation, and still feel lifeless, stuck, and defeated if you don’t know how to truly trust your body.
And you can do years of embodiment practice, somatic work, and emotional healing, but continue to struggle if the physical body is depleted, inflamed, or unsupported.
Healing isn’t one or the other. It’s both.
The Refuge Retreat is an invitation unto union. To reset and realign with your body in sanctuary and community. And we are thrilled to welcome you to this all-inclusive, luxury retreat on 42 acres of regeneratively restored (and deeply sacred) forested land in western Tennessee.
Jamie Lee Finch (LMT, CYT) brings over a decade of somatic coaching and hands-on bodywork centered on restoring relationship with the body. Her work is about remembering the body as a wise, sentient teacher, and learning how to listen, respond, and live from that relationship rather than overriding it.
Lyndsay Brooke (BSN, RN, NP student) brings a root-cause, functional lens to health that looks at why the body is struggling in the first place — nutrients, stress physiology, hormones, digestion, inflammation, lifestyle patterns — and how to support the body so they actually have the capacity to heal.
What to expect:
Over four nights at Bask Retreat Center, we’ll move slowly and intentionally. Days will include conscious movement and group somatic practices, temperature therapy amenities for nervous system regulation, plenty of spacious integration time, and educational sessions that connect physiology, mindset, and lived experience.
You’ll also have the opportunity to receive 1:1 health consults with Lyndsay and/ or 1:1 bodywork with Jamie, woven seamlessly into the retreat so your body’s unique needs are tended to with focused presence and care.
And all of it will be held inside a supportive, nourishing environment with your meals prepared by a private chef, multiple luxury lodging options, and space to rest, feel, and remember what your body already knows.
The Refuge Retreat is not a retreat for bypassing, performing, or fixing yourself.
It’s for women who are ready to stop outsourcing their inner knowing, stop waging war with their beautiful bodies, and start living from a place of wholeness and vitality again.
The power of retreats and the medicine of communal presence:
“The power of ‘in-person’, and the power of group medicine is what we’re built for. It’s what we’re made for. It’s what made us who we are as the human animal, and we are passionate about remembering an innate, fundamental way of being.”
Meet your hosts:
Jamie Lee Finch has been at the forefront of the cultural shift towards understanding and prioritizing somatics for over a decade. Her proprietary framework, Personified Embodiment, has transformed thousands of lives through her online course, live teachings, published materials, 1:1 coaching, group facilitation, podcast hosting + appearances, and hands-on bodywork.
Her greatest passion is showing up with full presence to the long-term, individual + collective process of conflict mediation between human beings and our bodies. And her deepest conviction is that healing and repair are always possible through a combination of compassionate understanding + sovereign self-responsibility.
Her own life and healing is a testament to this, as well as the literal miracles she has seen in the lives and bodies of her clients over the past ten years. She believes anything is possible when we come into true + trusted partnership with our wise, resilient bodies, and she will be bringing that belief, in the form of teaching, practice, and 1:1 hands-on sessions, to The Refuge Retreat.
Lyndsay Brooke brings over 20 years of experience in the medical field and a deeply embodied commitment to root-cause healing. After 13 years as a Registered Nurse in family practice and home health, she saw how often symptoms were managed while deeper patterns — stress, depletion, inflammation, and nervous system dysregulation — were left unaddressed.
Now just months away from becoming a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner, Lyndsay integrates a functional lens with lived, embodied practice. For the past three years she has worked as a health coach, guiding clients through nutrition, lifestyle, and targeted supplementation while helping them better understand their bodies.
During The Refuge, Lyndsay will weave personalized health consults and educational sessions into the retreat, helping participants understand their physiology while reclaiming ownership of their health and vitality.
Kirsten Kelly - guest teacher for movement sessions
Kirsten Kelly is an Embodied Healing Practitioner, and what she wishes for every woman is for them to have a Vessel of Vitality in Body, Mind and Spirit. During The Refuge, Kirsten will be leading daily movement sessions in the Chrysalis (a mind-blowingly beautiful indoor/ outdoor hall created for expression + ceremony), that will ignite you into deeper connection with your body and your soul.

I want to come! Who can apply, and how do I do that?
This retreat is only open to women-identified + AFAB (assigned female at birth) humans. This is not to be exclusive, but specific. We believe in the power of gathering with all bodies and identifications, and we also believe in the power of holding sacred and specific space for certain shared experiences. Stay tuned for an upcoming PNW retreat in the Fall, open to all genders!
To apply to join us, you can click the button below (or either of the two above!) to explore Bask’s gorgeous luxury lodging options. Once you’ve fallen in love with the space that’s just right for you, click on the “apply now!” button. You’ll be redirected to the application where you can tell us more about you and let us know which space you’d like to claim as your own.
And how exactly do I get there?
The nearest airport to Bask in Centerville, TN is the Nashville International Airport, and the travel time from BNA is roughly 90 minutes by vehicle. So if you’re coming from Nashville, we’ll give you driving directions — super easy!
If you’re flying in from out of state, we’re still going to make it super easy for you — you just might make some new best friends a little early. The average rideshare cost from BNA to Bask is about $150, so we’re going to help arrange and coordinate carpooling amongst guests — whether that’s with generous Nashvillians who are already driving down in their personal vehicle, or matching a handful of y’all together to split the cost of an Uber.
We recognize that Bask’s remote location presents some logistical complexities, and we absolutely believe that the extra steps are infinitely worth it for the specific experience of sanctuary on this deeply sacred land.
You are welcome to arrive at Bask at or after 3pm on Thursday, May 14. And we will all be departing together at 11am on Sunday, May 18. All of your meals are included in the booking rate, but flights and other travel costs (like rideshares, gas, etc.) are not included in the booking rate.
How do I secure my spot?
Just click the button below! We’re offering discounts available for groups traveling together, so just let us know on the application if you’re planning to attend with friends. We have a pay-in-full option or a 3 month payment plan available. All payments/ deposits are non-refundable, but we are happy to hold your reservation and investment for a future retreat or put you in touch with woman on waitlist to transfer your spot!
